PM Modi, Morrison discuss global, regional issues

Well ahead of the much awaited court summit prime minister narendra modi met his australian counterpart scott morrison in washington on thursday to discuss bilateral ties between both the countries this is the first time that the two prime ministers are meeting in parson after the pandemic began in 2020.



Both the leaders had spoken a couple of times on the sidelines of various international conferences earlier prime minister morrison had also called prime minister modi to brief him about latest orcas agreement last week both the leaders also held a telephonic conversation in which they reviewed the progress in india australia comprehensive strategic partnership including the recent two plus two dialogue australia on thursday also struck an agreement with india to support law emissions technology sharing between the two nations during a press briefing australian prime minister scott morrison say that australia and india have agreed on a low emissions technology partnership focusing on hydrogen def development and low cost solar programs.


We have just come from a meeting with one of my quad partners prime minister modi a dear friend and great friend of australia we've been working together for some years now today at our meeting we were able to agree some important new initiatives our meeting today we agreed to go forward with a low emissions technology partnership a partnership that will focus on hydrogen development ultra low cost solar programs to support their energy transition and following that meeting our correspondent siddhant sibal asked the australian prime minister about the meeting he said that the meeting with prime minister modi was outstanding listen.
